Seti–Karnali Fishing Expedition
An 11-day combined Seti and Karnali river journey — the most productive Golden Mahseer water in Nepal, with multi-day fishing camps at Scorpion Beach and the Budhi Ganga confluence.

About the Seti–Karnali trip
The Seti–Karnali expedition is the trip we recommend for serious anglers who want maximum fishing time on the most productive water in Nepal. The Seti River — a major tributary of the Karnali system — flows out of the Api and Saipal Himalayan range and joins the Karnali in the far west of the country. The water before the confluence is some of the least-fished, most pristine Mahseer habitat anywhere in the Himalaya.
The trip starts with a flight to Nepalgunj and an overland transfer to Gopghat or Dipayal Bridge, the put-in. From there it's eleven days on the water — a mix of moving rafting, full layover fishing days at proven camps (Scorpion Beach, Budhi Ganga confluence, Mahseer Camp), and quiet evenings around a campfire. The fishing is the focus: most days have a morning session before breakfast and an evening session before dinner, with rafting in between.
Compared to the Karnali expedition, this trip has less continuous whitewater and more dedicated fishing time. It's longer by a day, covers more confluence water, and gets to camps that the standard Karnali itinerary doesn't reach. For anglers chasing Mahseer specifically, this is our flagship.

Questions about the Seti–Karnali
The Seti–Karnali combines two river systems and adds a day of dedicated fishing. The Seti before the confluence is among the least-fished Mahseer water in Nepal, and the trip includes layover days at Budhi Ganga confluence, the Seti–Karnali confluence, and Scorpion Beach. The Karnali expedition has more whitewater character; this one has more fishing time and confluence water.
